Something Lighter - Reimbursement
(September 2008
, Volume 1)
A couple in their eighties go to a sex therapist
and ask that the therapist watch them having sexual intercourse. The therapist
is surprised that such an elderly couple is apparently asking for sexual advice
and agrees to see them. When the couple finishes, the therapist informs them
that there appears to be nothing wrong with the way they have intercourse. He
charges them $100, wishes them well, and says goodbye. The couple returns the
following week and asks the therapist to again watch. This happens for another
several weeks. Finally, the therapist says, I’m sorry, but I have to ask – just
what is it that you are trying to find out? The man says, “We’re not trying to
find out anything. She’s married and we can’t go to her house. I’m married and
we can’t go to my house. The Marriott charges $159 and the Hilton charges $189.
We do it here for $100 and I get $50 back from Medicare reimbursement.
